Terms & Conditions
Dakini T&C’s
- Please make sure you arrive 5 minutes prior to the class starting. This will ensure you participate in a thorough warm up, reducing risk of injury and also ensures the class starts on time. Late students will NOT be permitted to join in the class of they have not attended the warm up. Refunds for late students will not be issued.
- If you are attending open studios please ensure you warm up prior to training and cool down following it. Students are not permitted to teach others during these sessions. Students must work within their own capabilities during these sessions and not try moves which they are not competent in without an instructor present.
- Please do NOT park outside our neighbouring units. There is a maximum of 5 parking spaces directly outside our unit. These are reserved for instructors and private lessons only. Car parking for students can be found in the large car park directly opposite Avenue 8.
- Please do not apply lotions, moisturisers or creams on the day of the class. Not only will it make you slippy, increasing the risk of injury, but it also leaves the poles/aerial equipment slippy for others, increasing their risk of injury too. * Always remember to remove jewellery and any clothing with zips on, to prevent damage to the aerial silks or hammocks.
- Please ensure you bring payment for the lesson.
- You will be charged in full for less than 12hrs notice of non attendance of any class at Dakini
- You are the best judge of your own health. If you have any sickness or injuries which may put you or others at risk during the class, please inform your instructor.
- You are not recommended to pole dance or attend other aerial classes if you are pregnant. If you choose to continue classes after this time, you do so at your own risk.
- You are not recommended to do aerial yoga, hoop or silks if you are pregnant or think you might be.
- In the event of snow or bad weather there will be notices placed on our Facebook page, Instagram. We will also try to contact you individually by email. Please get in touch with the instructor if you are unsure.
- You are responsible for managing/cancelling your own booking via GoTeamup
- The mats are provided for your safety, please feel free to use them. and please always use them whilst training on aerial hoop or silks.
- You are NOT permitted to ‘spot’ or teach other students whilst attending classes at Pole Athletes. This is for your own safety. Spotting techniques can be complicated and do require a certain amount of strength, as well as differing from move to move.
- Although we are very proud that students help each other out, our insurance only covers appointed persons to teach. Therefore if someone is injured trying a move they have not been shown by an appointed person, Dakini will not be liable for any compensation. In addition to this, every individual is taught moves based on their previous experience, flexibility and strength. This is an individual plan developed by an experienced instructor and tailored to each student personally, just because you learnt some moves in a certain order does not mean others will too. Finally, pole dance and aerial instruction involves breaking down many parts of a move. If you were to show someone a new move and miss out a piece of vital information, this could result in a fellow student spending endless amounts of energy, wrongly trying to get into/ out of a move with the poor techniques or potentially injuring themselves. Therefore we request you DO NOT teach other students new moves during the class or Open Studios, only appointed persons are permitted to teach. *Dakini has CCTV on the property which records all classes. This is for safety and security reasons. By signing below you agree for lessons to be recorded via our CCTV system. All content will be treated in accordance with our confidentiality policy.
